Our nti Works scheme is in the Yorkshire Post
The nti Works scheme has been praised by the Yorkshire Post as it featured last week on Thursday 25th March, as an article in the jobs section of the newspaper. If you missed it, keep reading below:
Graduates at Leeds Metropolitan University and its Northern Technology Institute (NTI) are receiving a helping hand as a scheme designed to help them into work has received extra funding.
Regional Development Agency Yorkshire Forward has backed the scheme that helps digital and creative graduates access training and gain business skills needed to set up their own businesses. By the time the project finished in June, the number of Yorkshire and Humber graduates involved in the training will have reached 60. The NTI Works programme, which provides advice, training, guidance and mentoring to recent graduates, has proved popular since its launch in 2009.
Linda Broughton, Head of the Northern Technology Institute, said “Being part of the co-working community here at Old Broadcasting House offers a unique opportunity for the graduates to learn from other s who have been through the same experience.”

Private sector enterprise now also has to make the choice between meeting carbon reduction targets or paying fines. (more…)

nti featured in July Wired Magazine
We’re pretty excited to get a mention in July’s Wired magazine in a feature on the office of the future. Leeds is featured alongside London, New York, and Ibitha!
“The office is dead: make way for the freelance collective workspace. Part-time workers and self-employed may be hustling harder than ever, but at least the new wave of membership clubs lets them bounce ideas around and collaborate with like-minded souls” The benefits of coworking for freelancers and startups are so attractive that more and more of these spaces are springing up. Things have moved on a pace since we first set up the space at Old Broadcasting House in November 2007. Back then things were very quiet and for a while our founding members Imran Ali, Deb Bassett, Simon Edwards, Richard Garside and Richard Hamer had the place to themselves. Now we have thirty five members and the space is buzzing! New products, such as virtual graffiti tool FriiSpray and Cardboard Laptop Stand have emerged as a result of coworker collaborations.
To find out more about our coworking space, call us on 0845 122 1555 or email info@ntileeds.co.uk.
