nti Works January Programme 2010
nti Works is a programme run by nti Leeds lasting approximately three months, designed to help new graduates get started as freelancers in the digital sector. The programme consists of some core training that has been specially designed to help you get started, as well as providing a virtual training account which enables enrollment on to courses from the nti schedule - see www.ntileeds.co.uk/training.
nti is pleased to announce the launch of the January Programme 2010! If successful in applying, you will be assigned a mentor to help you plan your professional development and you will also become a sponsored member of our pioneering coworking space at Old Broadcasting House, which will enable you to work alongside current members. During the time you are here you will be encouraged to get involved in the Leeds grass roots community, attending meetups, coffee events and evening presentations depending on your particular area of specialism (for example Open Coffee Leeds, Creative Networks, GeekUp Leeds, Barcamps, Hackspace etc) to start building your network of contacts which will be crucial to getting started. GeekUp Leeds
GeekUp Leeds and the Northern Bloggers will be holding a Christmas Party for all web designers, web developers, and other tech-minded people. Food and entertainment will lead up to the special surprise on the night.

GeekUp Leeds at Old Broadcasting House 15th April
Join us at Old Broadcasting House on 15th April from 6pm for a ’special edition’ Leeds GeekUp this month. Dirk Ginader from Yahoo! is our guest speaker, on the topic of Java Script accessability. If you haven’t been to a GeekUp before, its a monthly meet-up for a community of web designers, web developers, and other tech-minded folk from the North. Socials take place once a month in Chester, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Preston and Manchester and are always a lively place to share ideas and spread a little knowledge. GeekUp Leeds takes place every third Wednesday of the month. New visitors are very welcome to come along. This April event is sponsored by nti Leeds who are providing refreshments for all attendees.
