Our coworking space here at Old Broadcasting House is a great place for startups and freelancers to do business.  Our community of members includes developers, designers, and creatives who value the fantastic location, prestigious business address, the collaborative open space and the cool technology.  We aim to offer a low risk space which lets you focus on developing your potential, your ideas, and your business.

The open space is organised into  ‘Pods’, equipped witha Mac Pro computer, and an Apple 30″ studio display, WIFI and broadband connectivity. Members also have access to meeting rooms, and a coffee area that is great for meeting clients.  Membership costs  £90 + VAT per month.

The coworking space  is a great alternative to working from home. You work for yourself because you value your independence and want to develop your ideas. If successful in applying, you will be assigned a mentor to help you plan your professional development and you will also become a sponsored member of our pioneering coworking space at Old Broadcasting House, which will enable you to work alongside current members. During the time you are here you will be encouraged to get involved in the Leeds grass roots community, attending meetups, coffee events and evening presentations depending on your particular area of specialism (for example Open Coffee Leeds, Creative Networks, GeekUp Leeds, Barcamps, Hackspace etc) to start building your network of contacts which will be crucial to getting started. Delivered by Leeds Media and Holbeck Urban Village, supported by a range of sponsors, companies and venues across Yorkshire, the week promises to shine a light on the creative and digital stars from Sheffield to Scarborough, Barnsley to Bradford and Huddersfield meeting in Leeds to celebrate the return of the Drum Awards for Digital industries for the second year running. We’ve just heard that the NTI has been successful in our bid, submited in January,  in response to a call from the Higher Education Funding Council for Universities propose how they could contribute to finding ways to support groups affected by the downturn. (more…)
