Old Broadcasting House Open House - Meet the Freelancers 21st July

We’re holding an open evening on Wednesday 21st  July so you can come along and meet Old Broadcasting House coworkers. The event starts at 6pm and closes at 8pm. Guests are invited to come along and meet our members in an informal, relaxed setting. Find out what they brilliantly do, see their work, and consider how their specialist talents could add to your business.

Girl Geek Dinner Leeds - 13/05/2010

We’re very pleased to announce the second of this years Leeds Girl Geek Dinners which will take place on Thursday 13th May at the City Inn, a swanky new waterfront hotel in Granary Wharf Leeds. The evening will start with networking at 7.30pm-10.30pm.

The evening speakers will include Joscelyn Upendran, the co-founder and CEO of lovle which is a learning and training software & services company. She is also involved in Creative Commons UK as the Public Project Lead for England & Wales, which involves raising awareness about Creative Commons. Prior to this, Joscelyn worked as a commercial lawyer in private practice for a number of years before she commenced a career in higher and further education, training lawyers, accountants and mangers. Open Coffee Mornings

If you’re working in the creative or digital industries, Old Broadcasting House will be opening it’s doors for you to come hang out, chat, demo or just network with others… usually around 25-30 people each month… sometimes more.

Tea, coffee and cakes are available from about 10am until 12pm. You are more than welcome to stay and chat as long as you like! This is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people within the creative, digital industries and network in a relaxed and friendly environment. Feel free to come along, Open Coffee is held on the first Tuesday of every month.

GeekUp Leeds at Old Broadcasting House 15th April

Join us at Old Broadcasting House on 15th April from 6pm for a ’special edition’ Leeds GeekUp this month.  Dirk Ginader from Yahoo! is our guest speaker, on the topic of Java Script accessability.  If you haven’t been to a GeekUp before, its a monthly meet-up for a community of web designers, web developers, and other tech-minded folk from the North. Socials take place once a month in Chester, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Preston and Manchester and are always a lively place to share ideas and spread a little knowledge. GeekUp Leeds takes place every third Wednesday of the month. New visitors are very welcome to come along. Leeds Girl Geek Dinner v2.0

After August’s event at the Living Room, the second Leeds Girl Geek dinner was held at The Loft Leeds Creative Event Space on Wednesday 3rd December on Cross York Street in Leeds City Centre. Opening during the early hours of the evening and continuing till late, speakers included Monica Tailor of Kilo75 and Katie Lips of Kisky Netmedia, an award winning Social Media and Social Mobile consultancy.
