This two day HTML & CSS course provides a comprehensive introduction to building web pages. This is a practical training course, using examples and hands-on exercises to enable you to develop fast, accessible and optimised web pages.
By the end of the course you will have gained the skills to build a website from scratch. You will also understand accessibility, search engine optimisation, HTML email, forms, and presentational techniques using CSS.

Girl Geek Dinner Leeds - 13/05/2010
We’re very pleased to announce the second of this years Leeds Girl Geek Dinners which will take place on Thursday 13th May at the City Inn, a swanky new waterfront hotel in Granary Wharf Leeds. The evening will start with networking at 7.30pm-10.30pm.
The evening speakers will include Joscelyn Upendran, the co-founder and CEO of lovle which is a learning and training software & services company. She is also involved in Creative Commons UK as the Public Project Lead for England & Wales, which involves raising awareness about Creative Commons. Prior to this, Joscelyn worked as a commercial lawyer in private practice for a number of years before she commenced a career in higher and further education, training lawyers, accountants and mangers. Open Coffee Mornings
If you’re working in the creative or digital industries, Old Broadcasting House will be opening it’s doors for you to come hang out, chat, demo or just network with others… usually around 25-30 people each month… sometimes more.
Tea, coffee and cakes are available from about 10am until 12pm. You are more than welcome to stay and chat as long as you like! This is a great opportunity to meet like-minded people within the creative, digital industries and network in a relaxed and friendly environment. Feel free to come along, Open Coffee is held on the first Tuesday of every month.

Creative Collision - where the games and film industries meet
On Thursday 3rd December, GameHorizon and Northern Film & Media will present Creative Collision - where the games and film industries meet. The collaborative event will be held at the International Centre for Life, Times Square, Newcastle, starting at 5.30pm.
