Quadrangle highlights new angles for business

On Wednesday 29 April, over 60 people from a variety of businesses across the north visited nti Leeds to find out about new and exciting ways to develop their products and their business.

Quadrangle brought together the 4 West Yorkshire Universities, 4iP, the Technology Strategy Board (TSB), Business Link and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTP) to provide businesses with key information about current funding and partnership opportunities in the region.

With a showcase of innovative projects and a wealth of advice on offer from Leeds Metropolitan University, University of Leeds, University of Bradford and University of Huddersfield, including new technologies such as eye-tracking software, animation tools, creative play with lego and much more, and a host of workshops giving people in depth information on the types of funding available and how to apply, this was a truly inspiring event.

Creative and Digital businesses heard about how they can get their hands on £3,000 worth of Innovation Vouchers , which can be traded for expertise to add value to a business.  Organisations can utilise an academic’s knowledge in areas such as market research, performance testing or even new web technology that will benefit the business through a pioneering project. Both the Technology Strategy Board and 4iP also did presentations to a full room and showed that their support, worth approximately £60M between them, is just the tip of the iceberg.

The event provided some real understanding of what support is out there and how to access it. It can seriously enhance your business prospects and help you to innovate, particularly in the current economic crisis.  Download the presentations from the evening below to find out how these opportunities could benefit you:
