Regional Enterprise Awards 2009

Yorkshire Venturefest 2009 was a day of activity for startups, wannabe entrepreneurs and more estabished businesses , investors and advisers.  The Innovation Showcase 50 exhibtion  hosted the most hotly tipped startups in the region, whilst the Unversity Showcase area brought together the startups from students and new graduates from our region's universities.

There was a slight conflict of interest for nti in the University startup competiton.  Who should we be cheering for? nti Leeds coworkers, and University of Leeds graduates Luke Harrison and James Hannaford, better known as Creode (who have implemented this web site for us!); were in the final. Leeds Met's representatives were graduates Paul Rossington and business partners Chris Wilkinson and Simone Tanda, with   Uni Book Club.  a web app for students to sell text books.

Congratulations to Unibookclub for thier win. Were hoping they come over to Old Broadcasting House to meet everyone soon. Find out more about the winners go to the here
