More Adobe CS5 Goodies
There's so much great stuff out there on the web to help you, and so little time! So we asked our Creative Suite trainer Gary Bradley to help you by signposting some of his favourites. Here's the second of his posts on this topic. Martini Hour Have you seen the "Martini Hour" podcast series? Sadly it came to a close this month, after a marathon run of 101 episodes. Hosted by Colleen Wheeler and Deke McClelland, it covers all things digital imaging and publishing. It's guests include influential figures such as John Nack, Mordy Golding, Burt Monroy, Julianne Kost and Russell Brown. Deke's One-on-One books for Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign have been translated in over 25 languages and feature in the Amazon.com's top 100 best sellers. Downloading the back catalogue of "Martini Hour" is well worth it just for the tips, tricks and insider information on where Adobe sees the future direction of its Creative suite range. Find it by searching the iTunes store, or visit this site . Teamwork If you work in a collaborative project environment, you'll find "Layout Zone" a fantastic and much needed addition to your InDesign workflow, and its free! It allows you to select elements of your InDesign document ,and save them as externally referenced InDesign files, which can be edited and developed by colleagues without affecting your master file. Once the edits have been completed, all you have to do is update the InDesign file in the links panel to integrate the latest changes. It even allows you to embed the elements back into InDesign, with the edits in place. You can download "Layout Zone" here. Thanks for these Gary. Did you find these helpful? Do you have your own favourites that you'd like to share? We'd love to hear from you
