Innovator ‘09 Nomination

Northern Technology Institute (NTI) has been recently nominated in the UK Trade and Investment™s Innovator 09 Awards run by Yorkshire Forward.

NTI has been shortlisted to the final 3 in the Innovation Catalyst category in recognition of the region™s first coworking space, home to digital entrepreneurs, fledging businesses and those thinking of starting business. It is listed as one of 18 organisations based in the Yorkshire and Humberside region to be short-listed as a finalist at the awards, in the bid to win £3,000.

Jim Farmery, Assistant Director of Business for Yorkshire Forward explains: œWe know we have many innovative individuals, companies and partnerships in Yorkshire and Humber and these awards are giving an opportunity to raise the entrants profile with clients and potential new customers, and demonstrate their commitment to being a leader in their field.

Among the awards are the UK Trade & Investment-sponsored International Innovation Award, which looks at firms that have accessed global markets, the Knowledge Exploitation Award, which rewards effective use of research, and the Business Link Yorkshire-backed Innovative Young Company Award, focusing on growing enterprises.

Here at Old Broadcasting House there is excitement about the final result which will be announced at the awards dinner on 5th March at the Town Hall. Well done and good luck to Linda and the team!
