How to Find Us


Why not come and visit us here at Old Broadcasting House, 148 Woodhouse Lane, Leeds LS2 9EN. If you are driving, the nearest car park is the Woodhouse Lane NCP multi storey found at LS1 3HQ. Please be aware that the opening hours are 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday.

If you are driving to an evening event here, you are advised not to park at the NCP as if you return after 9pm, your car will be locked in. Free parking is available afer 4:30 pm on weekdays opposite Old Broadcasting House at the Leeds Met and Leeds University staff car parks.

The free city bus can pick you up from outside Leeds train station and drop you off outside our Civic Quarter campus. To make your journey easier, download this map which can help you to find us ntimap. For further information or for other alternatives you can plan your journey at Metro.

Approaches to the City Centre

Leeds is well served by motorways, with links from the M1 and M62. From the north: A1-A58.”From the east: M62 to J29, then M621 to J3.”From the south/south-east: M1 to J43, then M621 to J3.”From the south-west: M62 to J27, then M621 to J3.”From the west: A65 via Kirkstall.”From the north-west: A660 via Headingley.

Routes Around the City - Inner Ring Road

This road is designed to route traffic away from the centre of Leeds. The main stretch runs in a semi-circle from west (A58(M)) to east (A64(M)). In the west, it connects with the M621 J2 via the Armley Gyratory and A643; in the east, it connects with M621 J4 via the A61.

City Centre Loop

The City Centre Loop allows traffic to flow clockwise around the City Centre, without having to enter it. There are 18 junctions: Junction 1, City Square, is the one that motorway traffic from the south will feed into.

Routes to the University - Civic Quarter

From the M621 follow Meadow Rd, Victoria Rd and Neville St to City Square. This is City Centre Loop junction 1. Continue until junction 4 (Civic Hall). Keep left and the City Campus buildings will be 400 yards along on the right (beyond the Civic Hall).

Headingley Campus

From Motorways, start as above. As you reach the Civic Hall, and before you come to the Calverley Street buildings, turn right onto Portland Way. At the top of Portland Way, turn left onto the A660. Continue on the A660 for about 4 miles. Headingley Campus is signposted to your left (please note the sign is marked Beckett Park Campus). Visitors should use the Churchwood Entrance. From the City Centre - go past the BP garage on the A660 (Otley Road) and turn left after the pedestrian crossing. From the ring road (A6210) - go past the Village Hotel, through the traffic lights and turn right before the pedestrian crossing.
