Web Futures: Consumer Behaviours and Business Opportunities
nti Leeds is proud to work in partnership with Leeds Media to bring you the latest news and events relevant to your business:
Date: Tuesday 28 April 2009
Time: 8.30am - 10.00am
Venue: Radisson SAS Hotel , Leeds, LS1 8TL
At this breakfast briefing, James Boardwell of Rattle will draw on emergent examples to show how the next stage of the web will look, and discuss how we could capitalise on it.
The Social Web, or web 2.0, is changing the nature of the B2C and B2B businesses, and yet we’re rapidly moving towards a ‘web of data’ which has the potential to be far more influential.
Using case studies from Rattle’s work with clients such as the BBC, the Science Museum, Channel 4 and ghd, James will explain how he uses the (potential) audience as the starting point, understanding their contexts and needs. From this insight, he creates engaging ways to interact with sectors like travel, news, museum collections, horizontal navigation, teaching methods and science.
James’ experience of social research and design methods has shown we can not make assumptions about our customer’s technology habits. Rattle’s approach to research therefore is to develop social web strategies that work now, and to anticipate and plan for coming developments on the web.
Cost: Leeds Media, Leeds, York & North Yorks Chamber and Screen Yorkshire members £25 + VAT; Non members £35 + VAT.
This breakfast briefing is sponsored by aql.com, the award winning providers of text messaging services.
