Introduction to iOS - developing apps for iPhone and iPad

Build an app in an evening. Come along to our event for an introduction to iOS development for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.  Much more fun than Eastenders!

We’ll start off the evening with an overview of the hardware and software capabilities of the iOS devices, followed by a run down of the kind of things that are possible through the iOS SDK* as well as a tour around the development tools that developers use every day to create the apps you know and love.

Your presenter for the evening is Dave Verwer, of Shiny Development, an experienced app developer and trainer, and all-round great guy.  Dave  delivers the four day iOS Developer Training course here at nti Leeds.

You’ll  also get a chance to get hands on - building a simple app to run on the iOS simulator so bring your laptop along!

If you’re a developer who is considering moving into iPad and iPhone apps development, and you’re  comfortable with programming in an object oriented language, then this event is for you.

For the practical side of the evening, you can have a go at building a simple app. Here’s what you”ll need to bring along:

- Intel based Mac running OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard).
- An Apple ID and Developer Account in order to access the iOS SDK (Sign up at http://developer.apple.com/programs/register/).
- Xcode and the iOS 4.2 SDK downloaded and installed on your machine.

Please book you place in advance by contacting  us at hello@ntileeds.co.uk with your name, and contact phone number.

If you’re ready to start building apps now, then check out our mobile apps development training courses - we run these for iPhone and iPad Apps and also Android.
