Girl Geek Dinner Leeds - 13/05/2010
We’re very pleased to announce the second of this years Leeds Girl Geek Dinners which will take place on Thursday 13th May at the City Inn, a swanky new waterfront hotel in Granary Wharf Leeds. The evening will start with networking at 7.30pm-10.30pm.
The evening speakers will include Joscelyn Upendran, the co-founder and CEO of lovle which is a learning and training software & services company. She is also involved in Creative Commons UK as the Public Project Lead for England & Wales, which involves raising awareness about Creative Commons. Prior to this, Joscelyn worked as a commercial lawyer in private practice for a number of years before she commenced a career in higher and further education, training lawyers, accountants and mangers.
Deborah Sherry joined Google in 2007 and is currently Strategic Partnerships Director for Southern & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa. Prior to Google, she spent nearly 7 years in the France Telecom group (Freeserve, Wanadoo & Orange). Deborah has been based in the UK but with a remit split across the UK and Europe, working on multi-platform portals and convergence. Previously, Deborah also worked at Samsung in Korea, and at Citibank.
All geek and tech girls are invited! Geek boys are also welcome but must be invited by a girl geek. The evening will be informal, friendly and chilled.
