Culture Hack North at Old Broadcasting House

We're big fans of events where people come together to do amazing things with technology, so we're pleased to be partners in the first ever Culture Hack North which we're hosting here at Old Broadcasting House on 12th and 13th November.  And this will be a major landmark for us - our first ever OBH sleepover!

Culture Hack takes the traditional Hack Day format (i.e. 24-hours hacking/development) with exclusive data from cultural and arts organisations such as Yorkshire Sculpture Park, Tate Liverpool, the National Media Museum, Opera North and many more.

We're expecting developers from a whole host of backgrounds and experience - including students  - to join representatives from some of the North's biggest and most respected arts organisations. For developers it's a great opportunity to work with industry professionals on innovative ideas showcase your skills. For students it's a way to meet prospective future employers and colleagues.

Alongside the hacking will be a series of talks from speakers such as Dom Hodgson (organiser of Leeds Hack), Rohan Gunatillake (Head of Edinburgh Festival's Innovation Lab), Rachel Coldicutt (organiser of the original Culture Hack Day) and Ash Mann (Digital Communications Manager at Opera North).

If you're not sure what Hack Days are all about, see our thoughts on Leeds Hack in August. Previous Culture Hack events have taken place in London and Edinburgh.

Find our more at the Culture Hack North web site and book on line here.
