PRINCE2® is a structured project management method that has become an effective standard for organising, managing and controlling all types of projects. Its reputation as a highly effective, process-based approach to project delivery is widespread across public and private sectors in the UK including the Yorkshire region, and further a field. In recent years an increasing number of smaller organisations have embraced PRINCE2’s® ’structured common sense’ methodology in order to effectively manage their growing portfolios of client projects. Our primary trainer Marian Watson is a highly experienced PRINCE2® trainer and we believe she is one of the best.

You will learn how to:

Increase the probability of delivering successful projects

Ensure clarity of purpose, credible planning, commitment and control

Delegate the planning and execution of change with confidence

Prepare for the PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner examinations, held on the third afternoon and fifth morning of the five day course

Understand the principles of the PRINCE2® method, including business justification and roles and responsibilities involved in a project.

Other topics covered include managing risk, product based planning, managing change through change control, delivering and closing projects.

The course content aims to provide a full understanding of the principles, processes, and themes of the PRINCE2® method and its practical application.

Course outline:

The course runs from Monday to Friday, starting at 9am each day. The Foundation exam is taken on Wednesday afternoon, and the Practitioner exam on Friday morning (exam time is 2 and a half hours).You will finish at approximately 5pm Monday - Thursday. The course ends on Friday after the exam.

Please note that this course involves approximately 20 hours of pre-course reading, which we advise you to start at least two weeks prior to the start of the course.  The PRINCE2® Pre Course Reading Materials will be sent out in advance of the course for this purpose. On each evening of the course there will be homework to complete with sample questions to study which will be approximately 1 hour per evening minimum. An additional workbook folder will be issued as part of the course, this along with the textbook joining materials will be required for each day of the PRINCE2® course.
