You’ll gain a comprehensive grounding in iOS development techniques and concepts, and learn how to use the major tools and APIs in the iPhone SDK, and how they fit together.
Its a practical course so you’ll learn hands-on from your trainer, who’s an iPhone Apps developer with experience in all aspects of designing, developing, shipping and marketing successful iOS apps, and who is also great at passing that knowledge on to you.
The course runs with a maximum of eight delegates, so you’ll get your own questions answered, whilst training alongside fellow developers - an ideal way to maximise what you’ll get from these four days

Recommended for:
- Developers working for design agencies and software companies, and freelancers who wish to create Apple iPhone, or iPad applications from scratch.
- Delegates should be proficient developers with a good knowledge of a modern, object oriented language such as Java, C++, C#, Ruby, or Python. - Develop iOS apps using Objective C, Xcode, Interface Builder, Instruments and the iPhone Simulator
- Use techniques to build scalable apps using MVC (Model, View Controller).
- Understand the ins and outs of common iOS techniques like Delegates and Target/Action.
- Understand the workings of iOS SDK, removing the mystery surrounding iOS development
- Deploy your app to a real device, and the provisioning process

| Introduction to iPhone and iPad Development and the Objective-C Language | Day one is primarily focused on Objective-C and covers everything needed to start building iPhone applications. The day covers basic Objective-C syntax and constructs, use of the Xcode IDE as a development tool, the Foundation framework, building Objective-C classes, properties and methods, debugging using Xcode and GDB, and a thorough explanation of memory management on the iPhone. |

| Build a complete iPhone application, Tweet Trends from start to finish in a day | The final day of the course gives students a specification for a simple, but full iPhone application and the task for the day is to build it! All of the concepts needed for this will have been taught by this time but the specifics of how to build the app are available if needed. This is an invaluable opportunity to build a real world application with an experienced developer as mentor. You can even get a sneak preview of what this final application does and how it looks because we uploaded it to the app store! |
