Unemployed or Facing Redundancy - Offer now closed

If you’re unemployed, or facing redundancy,  we  can help  you gain valuable skills to help you stand out in the job market. Funding is available to cover 100% of the cost of your training with us if you live in West Yorkshire.

Update 5th August 2010 All the funding has now been allocated for this programme, so we are unable to offer any further courses . Since February 2010, over 150 people have benefitted from this offer, enabling them to gain new skills and certifications which have enhanced their CVs.

Who can take advantage of this offer?

You need to live in the West Yorkshire, and be  unemployed, or facing redundancy.  If you are a recent graduate , we recommend you take a look at our complementary offer here.

What is available?

A number of courses are available under this programme. If you are considering strengthening your project management skills, then we can offer a combined  package of Introduction to Project Management and PRINCE2® in August.  For this updated offer, you are limited to what we have scheduled between now and the end of August, but we have availability on Adobe and Apple accredited courses,  and Open Source courses. Many of these include the opportunity to gain certification (eg Apple Certified Pro, Adobe Certified Associate). If you’re not sure which course might be best for you, we’d be happy to discuss your requirements and advise on the most suitable way forward.

How long is this offer  available?

This offer is only available on courses running between now and 31st August 2010, and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Delivering effective, high quality service media is still pioneer territory and a real challenge, but Channel 4 has decided to take up the challenge to rethink public services in an increasingly digital age.

nti Leeds witnessed the launch of the ˜Channel 4 Innovation for the Public’ Fund, better known as 4iP, when it opened it’s doors to the Yorkshire and Humberside Region at Sheffield Digital Campus on 4 February 2009.

There is currently more than ten million pounds up for grabs for freelancers, start-up businesses and grassroots projects with the hope of developing interesting and conceptually outstanding services for the public sector. (more…)

Train to Gain Enhancement Fund

The Train to Gain Enhancement Fund is a £50m resource aimed at engaging employers in Yorkshire and Humber to invest in skills development and therefore increase the skills base in the region. It is funded by the Learning and Skills Council from Yorkshire and Humber™s European Social Fund, and by Yorkshire Forward. The fund aims to help ensure that regional businesses and their employees are skilled, knowledgeable and in a position to respond effectively to challenges and changes in economic and market needs through supporting skills and workforce development.
