What do you do outside work?
When I am not doing Apple Pro application training, I am involved in the Apple Distinguished Educators network (yep another Apple thing!) and run a blog around working and playing with Apple macs – http://www.simonft.posterous.com. Although Apple are a constant theme throughout what I do, I also enjoy developing video content for charities, not for profit groups and friends. I am a keen cyclist and whenever possible, I strap video cameras to my mountain bike!!
What do students get out of a training course at nti?
They get a professional experience taught by Apple certified trainers, who have undertaken a rigorous exam and training session approved by Apple. We are also really friendly at the nti and I am still in touch with many of the students I have had the pleasure to teach.

Comments like the above inspire me to keep teaching. The best part of the job is knowing that you are really making a difference to a person’s development. They take away the knowledge and experience that will really benefit them.
