About NTI
NTI & The Team
The Northern Technology Institute - nti Leeds - is part of Leeds Metropolitan University’s School of Computing and Creative Technologies. We started out in 2003, and moved to our Old Broadcasting House location in Leeds City Centre in September 2007.
We help people get the most from technology.
We offer a range of training courses which help businesses increase productivity and competitiveness by developing the skills and expertise of their teams.
Our coworking space is home for an exciting community of startups, freelancers, and graduates.
We support a range of grass roots groups and events, hosting meetups here at Old Broadcasting House where people come together to network and learn from one another.
We’re supporting the next generation of talent too. Students from Leeds Met get to work on live projects in our Development Studio, which has up to six paid posts for upcoming developers.
The team is led by Linda Broughton, who set up The Northern Technology Institute in 2003. Geoff Gifford heads up the Studio and Tom Lowson and Sarah Ibbotson make sure everything works like clockwork.
